About the Role

The Fundraising Lead committee will play a crucial role as an individual contributor in executing the organization's fundraising strategy, with a strong emphasis on outreach and expanding networks. This role will involve extensive travel to attend fundraising events, networking sessions, and conferences. Collaborating closely with leadership, they will ensure fundraising efforts are aligned with broader organizational objectives. This role entails actively cultivating relationships with potential donors, participating in key industry events, and strategically managing interactions with existing and prospective funders. The Fundraising Lead committee will also prioritize diversifying funding sources, targeting High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs), foundations, and innovative campaigns. Additionally, they will implement data tracking and reporting to evaluate outreach effectiveness, offering valuable insights for continuous improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy Execution:
• Implement and execute the organization’s established fundraising strategy with a primary focus on outreach and building new connections.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure alignment and integration of fundraising initiatives with broader organizational goals.

Relationship Building and Networking:
• Actively engage in cultivating and sustaining relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners to enhance the organization’s network.
• Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to represent the organization, solidify existing connections, and identify new opportunities.

Prospective Funders Engagement:
• Foster strong relationships with existing funders, ensuring ongoing communication and engagement.
• Strategically manage interactions with prospective funders, ensuring consistent and compelling representation of the organization’s mission and impact.

Diversification of Funding Streams:
• Implement strategies to diversify funding sources based on the established plan, focusing on HNIs, foundations, and innovative fundraising campaigns.
• Monitor and adapt to industry trends to optimize existing channels and explore new opportunities for financial support.

Data Implementation and Reporting:
• Track and analyze fundraising metrics to evaluate outreach effectiveness.
• Provide regular reports on successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

5 - 7 Years Experience required

  • Master / Bachelor’s degree or related field.

  • Proven experience in fundraising with a focus on executing established strategies.

  • Strong understanding of diverse fundraising channels and techniques.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to implement strategies and adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Proven track record of successful strategy implementation.

  • Familiarity with the nonprofit sector and/or research is a plus.
